Prologis delivered a state-of-the-art 30,355 square meter build-to-suit facility at Park Prague-Jirny for leading Central European consumer electronics retailer HP Tronic.
HP Tronic required a building that met its stringent storage requirements for a wide range of hi-tech products: home appliances, consumer electronics, computers and mobile phones. Prologis’ experience in providing such facilities to its growing stable of e-commerce customers and its focus in building lasting relationships gave HP Tronic the confidence it could entrust this crucial project to the Prologis team.
The resulting build-to-suit at Prologis Park Prague-Jirny improved the customer’s operations with a built-in mezzanine and 12-meter clear height – enabling it to meet the increasing height demands of e-commerce companies that hold large inventories. There was also increased floor load-bearing capacity to accommodate special racking systems. Other customizations included air ventilation, lighting and heating improvements, as well as modifications related to fire safety. The offices and common areas were also designed specifically for HP Tronic.
Like all new Prologis developments, the facility was built according to BREEAM standards and included the now-standard features of Prologis buildings, such as smart metering and LED lighting.
Next to the superior facilities and customer service, the building’s location made it ideal for HP Tronic’s e-commerce activities. Prologis Park Prague-Jirny is situated 8 kilometers
east of the Prague city border, giving quick access to the international airport, and is well connected to the national and international traffic network by the D11 motorway.
“HP Tronic’s business requires custom solutions that Prologis, with its professional consultancy abilities, was able to provide,” said Martin Balaz, director, development and leasing, Prologis Czech Republic.
