Under the watchful eye of Navika the mermaid – immortalized in a mural welcoming employees and guests to Prologis Park Lodz – the second Prologis Football Tournament held at this park, named the Navika Cup, was played last Friday. Eight teams made up of Prologis customers and partners from the Lodz region battled it out in the competition. 

Impressive skills, high spirits and sportsmanship were on display as first place went to the team representing the city headquarters of the State Fire Service in Lodz, who defended the title which they won in the first edition of the tournament. Second place went to the UN1F1ED² Global Packaging Group team, who played under the name UGPG2 FC TEAM, while third spot was claimed by the GXO II team, who defeated their colleagues GXO I in the third-place play-off. 

The impact of the Navika Cup goes beyond the joy of sporting competition. The event brings people together and builds unique relationships.

The fact that so many people took part in this tournament – both players and fans – shows just how important such occasions are,” said Michal Stankiewicz, Senior Development Manager at Prologis, and captain of the Prologis team.

The tournament was played on a multi-purpose sports field at Prologis Park Lodz which was built as part of Prologis’ PARKlife™ initiative boosting quality of life.
