Football tournaments at Prologis parks are a highlight of our customers’ calendar each year. Bringing park users together in a spirit of healthy competition, friendship and fun, they confirm that with Prologis, a logistics park is much more than just the four walls and a roof of warehouses.
This year saw two football tournaments take place at parks in the Czech Republic: at Prologis Park Prague-Rudná and at Prologis Park Prague D1 East. Teams and supporters made the most of the early summer sunshine, with the Rudná tournament held on 11 May and the D1 East tournament taking place a week later.
The champions at Prologis Park Prague-Rudná were Eurocon. Second place went to the team from Under Armour, while third place was taken by DB Schenker. All of the eleven teams who took part showed sporting skill as well as a focus on fair play, providing excellent entertainment for the fans watching on.
“Our football tournament at Prologis Park Prague-Rudná was a special day for everyone involved,” says Kateřina Březinová, Leasing and Customer Experience Manager for the Czech Republic at Prologis. “Congratulations to Eurocon for their victory, and a big well done to all the other teams who took part. We’re already looking forward to seeing them battling it out again in next year’s edition of the tournament!”
At Prologis Park Prague D1 East, GEFCO emerged victorious, beating our very own team from Prologis into second place. Third was taken by Marvinpac, after a total of ten teams competed on a special day that will live long in the memory. As an added bonus, the tournament was followed by a special open air concert from rockers Markýz John and Kiks.
“Our Prologis team lost out to GEFCO, but even that couldn’t dampen our spirits on a great day in D1 East!” said Anna Jůzová, Leasing Manager at Prologis. “What better way could there be to make people working at our parks feel good than healthy and friendly outdoor fun. The concert from Markýz John and Kiks provided the perfect soundtrack to end this year’s tournament.”
Football tournaments are an annual reminder of the opportunities granted by Prologis’ PARKlife™ initiative, which sees amenities to enhance quality of life installed at parks. Along with five-a-side football pitches at selected parks, Prologis customers in the CE enjoy open-air gyms, outdoor relaxation spaces and recreational areas, BBQ zones, Book Boxes, bike shelters and repair stations, electric vehicle charging points and more.
The tournaments are also a wonderful reminder of the arrival of proper spring, with nice weather, delicious catering and great entertainment coming together to create a fantastic outdoor atmosphere among players and fans alike.
