As Prologis continues its impressive growth trajectory across Europe, the logistics real estate leader has implemented organizational changes to boost efficiency and streamline operations. Within these changes, Martin Baláž, previously Senior Vice President and Country Manager for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, has been named one of four new Heads of Asset Management, making him responsible for Prologis’ Operations across Central Europe.
Replacing Prologis’ former Country Manager roles across the whole Europe, the Heads of Asset Management oversee all facets of Operations, Real Estate Customer Experience, Leasing, Facility Management and Operations Construction Management. Martin Baláž’s new role as Head of Asset Management, Central Europe makes him responsible for these departments, and for helping to increase the value of Prologis portfolio, across Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
“I am honored and excited to take on my new role at Prologis. As the Head of Asset Management for Central Europe, I’ll be leading our teams across the region. This newly created position is designed to help our Central Europe team to enhance the value of our portfolio and to streamline our operations more effectively,” says Martin Baláž, Prologis Head of Asset Management Central Europe.
Intended to streamline management structures, splitting Operations and Capital Deployment functions in order to facilitate even more efficient responses to customer needs, Prologis’ new organizational structure was introduced on January 1, 2024.
Alongside Martin Baláž in Central Europe, other Heads of Asset Management are Jessica Pilkes (North Europe), Cristian Oller (South Europe), and Stuart Davies (UK).
As Prologis customers increasingly seek out Built-To-Suit developments and tailored operational solutions across Central Europe, Prologis’ organizational restructuring emphasizes the need to support customers by providing future-ready solutions. Focusing on whole-lifecycle asset management optimization of its European portfolio, Prologis’ streamlined Operations activities will enable even greater flexibility and efficiency.
“During a decade working at Prologis, I have witnessed how our expert teams keep on improving our services and solutions for customers. Our hunger to innovate, benefiting our customers and their communities, is the rock-solid foundation of our success in this region. I’m deeply excited to continue driving excellence in all aspects of Operations across Central Europe,” adds Martin Baláž.
