Strategic value creation
Lóránd Gárdonyi joined the Prologis team as Real Estate and Customer Experience Director in January 2023. His main duties are managing the real estate portfolio, directing its operations, overseeing the team dealing with this and delivering on the overall corporate and local strategic objectives.
Lóránd is an accomplished real estate professional with decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has expertise in property and business management, portfolio management and data analytics.
“One of the most important professional experiences I have gained to date at Prologis is thinking strategically in global terms about the real estate portfolio, including property management and operational practices, as well as achieving environmental and sustainability goals. But human relationships within the company – teamwork, cohesion and partnership with tenants – are equally important.”
Lóránd believes that Prologis is at the fore when it comes to customer-centric approach: “Not only do we focus on tangible needs, but we also try to serve our partners’ as yet unarticulated requirements. And we do this on a broad scale, from designing sports and recreational facilities that are well suited to holding family days to socializing through sport after work, or to providing a place for some peace and quiet. What is more, we also respond to business needs by involving the Essentials team, for example. We can support procurement processes, whether it is acquiring forklift trucks, shelving systems or modernizing lighting. Ensuring that added value is not merely an abstract concept but is filled with real substance is an important goal for us.”
Lóránd thinks that one of the greatest merits of Prologis is that its value creation strategy goes beyond conventional business thinking. “We do not think in terms of the minimum level required: we want to meet the complex needs of the 21st century. It is in this spirit that we are developing the ParklifeTM concept and improving the Essentials services, and these principles are also applied to property management.”
“The thing I like most about my job is the continually changing challenges and the need to create value in a way which is functional and everyone can benefit from, because others can create more value from what we create.”
