A further 37,000 sqm to be developed at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska

A new, 37,000-square-meter warehouse being built at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska will, like all other Prologis facilities, provide an example of the innovative potential of modern logistics space. Containing a suite of state-of-the-art solutions, it will support operational efficiency while adhering to BREEAM-certified sustainable building principles. Construction work on the new warehouse is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2025.

In the heart of Upper Silesia

Prologis Park Ruda Śląska is located just 9 kilometers from the center of Katowice, close to the A4 highway (Germany-Wrocław-Katowice-Krakow) and 10km from the A1 highway (Gdańsk-Katowice). This prime location near Poland's main logistics and transport routes ensures efficient distribution of goods both locally, nationally and internationally.

Upper Silesia is one of Central and Eastern Europe’s key logistics hubs thanks to its excellent location and well-developed infrastructure. The region is attracting greater investment and an increasing number of customers who want to develop their business here. The new warehouse being built at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska is a perfect example of the location’s appeal,” says Konrad Jacewicz, Associate in Industrial and Logistics Space at Cushman & Wakefield.

The new space will be the fourth building created at this thriving logistics park. Prologis Park Ruda Śląska currently consists of two BTS buildings covering a total area of 63,000 sqm, occupied by Raben and Kuehne+Nagel. In September this year, these customers will be joined by InPost, which will move into the new 11,500-sqm DC3 building. Ultimately, Prologis Park Ruda Śląska has potential for total warehouse development over an area of more than 122,000 square meters.

The availability of space in top locations in Silesia is rapidly declining. For this reason, we decided to develop a new building at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska. That almost half of the space to be constructed has already been leased at this early stage only confirms the validity of our strategy,” said Katarzyna Nobis, Leasing & Customer Experience Manager at Prologis.

The new building will be equipped with high-quality, energy-efficient and automated LED lighting, as well as an advanced online temperature control system (with three sensors at different heights for every thousand square meters) providing smart-metering capabilities to track and control utilities consumption remotely.

Whether it's expanding operations, creating a comfortable working environment or building tailored warehouses, promises delivered are... Made in Prologis.
