For 18 years, Prologis has consistently monitored, analyzed, and summarized its ESG activities in regular reports. Projects completed and results achieved during the last year, as presented in the company’s 2023/2024 ESG report, demonstrate how Prologis' efforts yield tangible benefits for customers, enhance the value of its properties, and most importantly, bring the company ever closer to achieving its ambitious climate goals. The report includes current data on Prologis’ sustainable logistics, employees (#prologispeople), and actions taken for local communities and the environment.

Catalysts for Sustainable Development

Technology and innovation are at the forefront of Prologis' sustainable development strategy. Examples of completed initiatives include:

  • Prologis is nearing its goal of achieving 1 gigawatt (GW) of power from photovoltaic installations and energy storage by 2025 - having already surpassed the 500 MW mark in 2023.
  • 74% of the company's buildings are illuminated with highly efficient, energy-saving LED lighting.
  • Approximately 23% of Prologis' portfolio has received sustainable building certification, covering a combined area of over 25 square kilometers.
  • Prologis created the world's first logistics facility certified for zero carbon emissions by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) - the DC4 warehouse in Prologis Park Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Partnerships for a Net-Zero Future

For five years, Prologis has been a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, ranking among the top 10% of companies globally in ESG performance. This year, Prologis' net-zero emissions goals were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the most credible global standard-setting body for emissions. Using stringent evaluation criteria, SBTi verified Prologis' greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, confirming that they are credible and achievable.

Building Strong Communities

Prologis' success is driven by its employees. According to an engagement survey conducted in 2023, 88% of Prologis employees feel highly engaged with the company's activities. Employees actively participate in volunteer work for local communities, dedicating over 16,400 hours to social organizations in 2023, including more than 10,800 hours during the 11th edition of IMPACT Day, the company’s annual global volunteer day. This was a record in the history of this popular event.

"We are pioneers in ESG, setting standards for our industry and beyond. Our latest ESG report confirms that we are on the right track to achieve emissions neutrality. Transparent insights into our actions, continuous implementation of sustainable technologies, new partnerships, and environmental initiatives give our customers confidence that Prologis is the right partner when it comes to cutting greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change," states Paweł Sapek, Senior Vice President and head of Prologis in Central Europe.

Whether it's top-quality warehouse facilities, innovations that make sustainable logistics a reality, or care for the climate and society, the future is... Made in Prologis.
