Janus International Group, Inc. (“Janus”), a world-leading supplier of self-storage products and related access control technologies, is thrilled to announce the opening of its brand-new manufacturing facility in building DC4 at Prologis Park Wrocław III. The investment into the state-of-the-art Polish plant marks a significant milestone for Janus and the self-storage industry in Europe.
"As the market-leading self-storage manufacturer and the only full-solution provider, we are very happy to expand into Poland. Operational excellence sits at the core of our business and our talented manufacturing teams in the UK and Poland are committed to producing high-quality, advanced, and sustainable products. We want to thank all our local partners, including Prologis, Argon Legal and Cushman & Wakefield, and are really looking forward to developing the next generation of European self-storage facilities”, said Colin Jeromson, Managing Director, Janus International Europe Ltd.
The DC4 building at Prologis Park Wrocław III is a modern warehouse hall and office space covering a total area of 49,000 m2. The facility was created with an effective supply chain in mind for local, European, and global markets. This strategically located logistic park in the capital of Lower Silesia neighbors on an airport serving direct flights to Warsaw, Frankfurt, Vienna, Copenhagen, and Munich. Wrocław city center’s western bypass – the A8 motorway – runs alongside the park. Like all newly built Prologis buildings, DC4 has undergone BREEAM accreditation.
"The self-storage segment is a promising one for the Polish warehouse sector, and investors' appetites for implementing such investments may become greater still, as the Polish market is still in the early stages of development. This makes us even more pleased to be able to advise Janus as it expands in Poland. I am confident that Janus’s new factory in Wrocław will provide fresh impetus to the company’s development in Europe, and that our cooperation will be solidified with further investments", said Damian Kołata, Partner, Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency Poland, Head of E-Commerce CEE at Cushman & Wakefield.
Business-friendly building
Building DC4 was designed with functionality in mind and its accompanying infrastructure meets the highest standards. For greater safety and improved worker wellbeing, warehouse and office spaces are lit with high-quality LED systems. Motion sensors are programmed according to customer needs and guidelines, reducing lighting costs. The building is equipped with skylights and window panels in the façade that provide up to 12.5% natural daylight. What’s more, the building is equipped with photovoltaic panels and solar collectors.
"DC4 will be BREEAM certified, and it’s a great joy to know that our efforts in sustainable development are appreciated by customers too. We thank Janus for their trust, and we look forward to successful collaboration!" said Marcin Kruszewski, Leasing & Customer Experience Manager at Prologis.
Employee-friendly park
