Prologis has come up with another unusual initiative in reviving a facility in Prologis Park Łódź. On the walls of a huge water silo, Alex Maksiov created a mural of his own design with the image of a mermaid emerging from a sea wave. The striking 8 x 10 meter mural welcomes everyone arriving at Prologis Park Łódź.
“When I saw the big tank of water, I knew immediately that there should be an image of a mermaid on it. This perfectly combines the concepts of the water filling the reservoir and the location where it is located, the city of Łódź. The mermaid is a surprising and sympathetic image, and this is the effect I wanted to achieve,” says Alex Maksiov.
Alex Maksiov is a recognized artist specializing in 3D graphics. He created the largest 3D street painting in Ukraine with an area of 457m2, and the largest mural in Kyiv, covering 16 floors. He is the winner of many international awards, and since the outbreak of war in his home country, he has been working in Poland under the auspices of the Urban Forms foundation in Łódź.
The Łódź mural is an initiative that fits in with the PARKlife™ idea implemented by Prologis in all its logistics parks. This includes activities and amenities to make our parks user-friendly spaces. Green areas are located in our parks, along with outdoor mini-libraries boasting a wide range of bestsellers and solutions supporting low-emission transport, such as bike repair stations and electric car charging points.
Whether it's building a great offer for our clients, launching new initiatives with employees in mind, or taking care of the spaces that surrounds us, innovations are… Made in Prologis.
