A neighbourhood picnic, whose main theme was environmental protection, was held on a sunny September Saturday right next to Prologis Park Poznań III. Prologis couldn’t miss out on it!
We hosted numerous visitors in our Prologis Zone, set up especially for the occasion. We engaged our youngest neighbours in playing ecological games – while older participants took part in an environmental knowledge competition, the younger ones learned through play how to sort waste correctly. At the end, all children received certificates confirming their knowledge about the environment and recycling.
At the same time, various workshops were running in the creative zone on the theme of “zero waste and plastic free”. Children made beautiful animals out of PET bottles and we sewed very practical reusable bags for fruit and vegetables together, out of recovered fabrics and materials.
We also served delicious, healthy, vegan and gluten-free ice-cream straight from the Prologis food truck to everyone without exception. At the end of the time spent together, every picnic participant received some small gifts from us – naturally, all of them were 100% biodegradable.
“We have been part of the local community for years and cultivating relationships with our neighbours is one of the most pleasant aspects of our work. Whole families came to the picnic and the fun went on all day in the Prologis Zone. Our partners provided visitors with plenty of attractions, focusing on the importance of environmental protection – in line with the theme of the event. It’s wonderful to have neighbours like Prologis, who are willing to share their environmental and social awareness” said Maciej Marciniak, chairman of the board of the Fabianowo-Kotowo estate.
